Originally this car came equipped with a 428, but was changed to a 427 by the present owner. The present owner purchased the car in 1968 for $4,995.00! Some performance figures from the current owner: 1/4 mile time/speed, 428, 12.4@112; 427, 12.6@113. Not much difference between the two, but the owner says the only run with the 427 was in less than ideal conditions. According to him, it was a very warm and humid day, where as the time recorded for the 428 was on a cool (50F) day.
