----------Just wondering if we could have an update for the number of "Hits" that this Site is getting? In dog years, I am dead.

Nomad, I know that this is complicated, but if you will click on the HOME forum at the very top of the list to the right and look under the picture of Shelby that comes up it will give you the number of hits and the date. I would look and post the number but I am tired and weak from 6 weeks of smoke and ash. Ron LOL ---------- Ron Widener

Nomad, we are averaging about 700 to 1,000 hits a day. The number of hits since yesterday and this morning is 1,005. Pretty good! I think we have many "lurkers" out there, that are maybe a little hesitant to post, because of their experience on other sites. ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It's stripped down to the essentials, a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on the pavement. It's loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. It's so damn wonderful that you can't believe it."

I received an email from a reader on Youtube. He owns CSX 4350 and CSX 8029, both aluminum bodied Cobras. In his email, he told me that he had gone through the site many times, and enjoys it very much, especially the "Charmed by a Snake" article. I asked him to send me some pics of his cars to post. Some days there are lots of hits, and others not too many at all. ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. WTF?????????????????? You should have got 6,301 Hits, not 6,300. I just told a guy about your Site yesterday, and he said he would visit it. Just joined your site, wonderful amount of information. I look forward to perusing all of the material that has been assembled. The site was suggested on another Cobra site yesterday, that might explain some of the "lurker" hits. Looking forward to some entertaining reading as the snow begins to fly here in the rockies!

Yeah Ron, that could be it. Maybe some of the people that check out the site, don't have a car, but that is no reason not to post any comments. You really just have to have a passion for these cars. I do know my nephew was on over the weekend, but I guess he was just having a look. He called me to talk to, while he was on the site. He loved the vid of the car being unloaded from the trailer, but no comments. ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. Bruce, I really think that a lot of people feel that if they don't have a car they are going to be looked down on by the ones that do have them. I don't know if they have had that experience at some sites or not. I do know a couple of car clubs, Corvette being one, seems to be kind of clickish and if you aren't in one of the groups you are ignored or anything you say will be instantly bashed. I belong to the FCA and they are one of the most clickish bunches I have ever seen. The only reason I remain a member is I like the magazine they publish. I go to the web site and look at some of the posts, but after it was up and running I stopped posting at all. Ron ---------- Ron Widener

Ron, well, truth be known, and I think some of the guys knew, but I have been without a car, from the time I started this site to just a couple of weeks ago. I always figure you really don't have to have a car, just a genuine interest and enthusism for them. You and I both know some of the members don't currently have a car on the road, but that doesn't mean they won't and it is always great to hear some of their opinions and questions. ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. For those in the I don't have a car category. I don't have one either, don't have one in the works, or even have any money going to one... YET. One day I will. I am paying off my bills and then will work towards getting one. I will be at least 3 years before I am even getting close to purchasing unless something drastic happens. Post up, ask questions, go to meets. I have found (at least here and in my local group) it is not about the cars. It is about the people. The cars are just a common like that got us together in the first place. The people keep us coming back.

For color I am currently liking a Dark Blue with Silver stripes. My 07 Supercrew F150 is Dark Blue Perl with Silver accent stripe and it is an awesome combination. Plus the car would match the tow vehicle. For a motor, I will likely go with a Keith Craft 408. Now if I end up buying an already completed one, then all bets are off.

Thanks Nomad. I was always planning a deep blue with white stripes, but the more I looked at the truck, the more that Blue and Silver stripe grew on me. It is a good combo. I think the blue is the perfect blue for the Silver. Any other would not look quite as good.

Joe, If I ever get my Coupe back, it is painted a Rolls Royce blue with Rolls Silver stripe and I really like the look when it is in the sun. It doesn't show so well in pictures though as it just looks like a dark blue, but it actually has some type of stuff Rolls Royce used in the paint. Even the silver is a little brighter than most.
