----------"I will try not to keep referring to the former Car And Enthusiast Site, but I recall some women Posting pic's and info on their Cobra's at that Site. It was certainly nice to see that our obsession wasn't gender biased. I am just wondering if any of them have found this Site yet? Would be nice to hear from you via Postings, if that is the case. Cheers" I Posted this on February 3rd, 2007, and still no takers. Hmm........................... There are three kinds of people: those who can count, and those who can't count.

Guys, I have tried to get more members to post. There has to be a lot of lurkers here, as the "hit count" averages about 1,000 per day, with spikes up to 6,000! I was looking at the membership of CC, and noticed that there are a group of people that post regular basis, but when I looked at their membership a great majority of them have never posted at all! I guess most people just like to read and check out the pics. ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It's stripped down to the essentials, a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on the pavement. It's loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. It's so damn wonderful that you can't believe it."

Nomad & Bruce, The old Car & Enthusiasts site could have been a great place as it covered every type car and more people felt comfortable posting there than on a car specific site. Many are like me and feel if you don't have a Cobra, then you shouldn't be posting on a Cobra site. I have been told that I should be kicked off CC because I don't have a Cobra and I have to go along with that. It just doesn't feel right to post to a site when I don't have a car that qualifies me to be a member. Another thing is that if you will look at the far left hand side of the CC Forum page, every day you will see a list of New Members. Some of those are nothing but what I feel may be setting up for spamming but CW and Jamo keep that down very well. I don't even feel as if I should be posting on this site as I have no car.I still go over to Club Hot Rod and talk to a few of the guys that I got to kind of know on the Car & Enthusiasts site. One stopped by here to meet me on his way to Sacramento. So the lack of having a car may be one big thing that keeps many from posting a they just don't feel right doing so. I understand Ron, it would be nice for the lurkers to post just because they have a real passion or interest for the cars. There is nothing here to say, anyone has to have a car to be here. I think in our posting we must come across as just a bunch of car nuts! ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. I just checked the number of hits. There has been 1,649 hits since yesterday this time! Love to hear from some of them! ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. One thing you may do to help is to re-arrange the links. Maybe put the Discussion forum in a larger box or maybe at the top of the page instead of with the rest. I know I did not see it the first couple of visits. I left a comment on the comments page, and then noticed the forum a day or 2 later. There is so much information over there that unless you are are going to each link in order, you can easily miss it. Many may think this is just an information site.

Joe, thanks for the suggestions. I can move it up one, just under Home page, but I can't change the size of it. I guess I could put it in capitals. I'll try that! Thanks again, Joe! ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It's stripped down to the essentials, a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on the pavement. Changes made, Joe. Let's see if that drums up a few more members that like to post! ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. Bruce, Can you change the color of the Font? If you can maybe red or something would get more attention. Ron ---------- Ron Widener

Ron, I just checked, and there is no option for color or font style. My other half says I should just get my own site designed for me and go with that. She worries about the host here, going out of business, then I would lose all the pics and articles. ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra. I usually check in every day at least once, sometimes 2 or 3 times to read what's going on. I'm not a "jokester" like some, and don't always have much to offer so just don't post all the time, unless I have something relevant to say. Seems to me this forum is for Cobra "lovers"- not necessarily just for Cobra "owners" - and without the postings of the "lovers" there would be a lot less posts to read- so I say keep posting "Cobra lovers"- perhaps soon you too will have a Cobra in your life.... Our latest winter storm seems to have blown over now, and the sun is coming, out hopefully by tomorrow it will be dry enough to go out for a cruise [grin, grin]- maybe I can get my new Avons to hook up a bit and propel me into ecstasy........

DobeBob is absolutely correct in my estimation. This Site is, and should be enjoyed by ALL Cobra lovers. I was a "Cobra lover" for 36 years, before I finally realized my dream. Acquiring one, did not make me any more, or less a Cobra lover. This Site is probably a good place to kindle and keep the dream alive for those that don't yet have a Snake in their garage. And then one day, before you know it, ........... As to the storm that you alluded to DobeBob, I can relate to it! It hit us hard up here. It was blowing 165 kilometers an hour North of us. I spent the night onboard, and put an awful lot of faith in that stern line! Oh by the way, Avon's eh? Very nice! I used to run them on mine! Enjoy! ---------- There are three kinds of people: those who can count, and those who can't count.

DobeBob, You always have something to offer and as for being a jokster, just look at the mess on some of the other sites where everything is taken seriously. We need to be able to joke about things and even disagree without taking it to the personal levels that happens so much on other sites. So don't just wait until you feel that you have something important to contribute. I would guess that out of all of my posts, maybe I have actually contributed something with 10 or 12 of them. Have to stay ahead of Nomad you know. Ron LOL ---------- Ron Widener

You guys are right! This site is for Cobra lovers, and not just Cobras. Speaking for myself, Cobras are not the only cars I like. I think that some of the lurkers should know that we are just car guys. Some of us have a Cobra and some don't. It really doesn't matter. We are just here to express our interest and passion for cars, whatever the make, although Cobras are the main interest. It would be nice to hear from some of the lurkers, that say want to compare their Corvette to a Cobra. Things like that would stimulate a good dialogue. As long as we don't start the name calling, although that is okay with me, in Nomad's case. LOL! Just kidding skeezik! LOL! ---------- "There is nothing nice about a Cobra.
