---------- Valiantly straining to come up with some Posting idea's, perhaps I have hit on one. How about a Straw Poll, where no straws get hurt?
Let's see some Post's as to what is in our garage. The answers are: Big Block. Or, Small Block.
I will go first hoping against all odds that some people will actually Post.

Big Block

Well, technically, it isn't in the garage right now. Still at the shop, sometime next week.LOL! My answer is big block.

It's stripped down to the essentials, a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on the pavement. It's loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. It's so damn wonderful that you can't believe it."

Big Block and lots of space for the Small block that I will most likely never see again.

A very healthy race small block that eats Big blocks..lol.
I do Have a few bigs sitting on stands, but why...lol, maybe one day to conform to the masses and assimilate.

Lets not forget the car was designed for a 289...going 302 is pushing the ratio. Didn't the SB do most of the winning?, I understand the novelty of ramming a rocket in a shoebox and when CS sobbered up it was too late people were buying them....lol

Venam,

The only American car to win a world championship was the Daytona Cobras and they ran 289s rated at the same as the roadsters, 385 horse. The winningest Cobra of all time was the ESSEX Wire Company Cobra and it was a 427. Some great stories about that car.

Hmmm? It has to be in my garage eh? I suppose my John Deere would be considered a "very" small block...

A Big Block of course but if money were no object (unfortunately it always is) I would love to also have a slabside 289
