Note:  Update,  When the article on "3140" was written many years ago, the car had  been passed
off as 3140. Since then, the real 3140 was found by a
collector who contacted the latest owner of the red car in the magazine article
and provided proof that it was not 3140. That owner, who happened to be a dealer
in the UK, did the right thing and removed the VIN. He then sold the car as a
crashed/ fixed/ legit period 427 Cobra minus a valid VIN, (as the owner of that
car's original VIN had it reconstructed, legally, using a new chassis/ body.)
And that's how that car from the magazine article remains today.
